ABOUT

 A&A Athletic Consulting, LLC  was formally launched in 2018  by Alva Amaker to assist parents and student-athletes with the navigation of the athletic process,  Our services are facilitated with the overall well-being of the student-athlete at the forefront.

 

Vigilance Safety Training  Center provides programmatic support services to schools and youth-serving organizations as it relates to risk management, facilities, and operational policies and procedures.  

Vigilance Safety Training Center is an educational center for the Emergency Care and Safety Institute and an endorsed training facility by NCS4 to provide the Sports Venue Staff  Certification (CSVS). 

A&A Athletic Consulting team uses their  20 years in interscholastic athletics, program development, management, staff development,  event management, workshop facilitation, and youth engagement to create a comprehensive system that uses best practices for participation, management and hosting of athletic events.

 

Before establishing A&A Athletic Consulting in 2015, Alva served as a health educator,  athletic administrator, programs manager and director for out of school time programs in the faith-based, an AHA instructor/trainer, and an EMT for the volunteer fire department.  Currently serves as an  AAU District  Sports Director and manages DCPG Sports a community-based sports program.

 

Alva holds the following credentials:

  • BS Degree in Health and Physical Education

  • M.Ed in Organizational Leadership

  • Certified Athletic Administrator- NIAAA

  • Certificate of Achievement- National Sports and Security Professional Development Series - NCS4

Vigilance courses and specialty program include:

  • Stop the Bleed Instructor

  • CPR/AED

  • First Aid

  • Sports First Aid (Care and Prevention emphasis)

  • Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens

  • Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training (Blast) - highly recommended for families with a new infant/toddler in the household)

  • Baseline/Post Concussion Testing (ImPACT Test)

  • Unified Safety Training Program

The Team 

The team is comprised of dynamic teachers, medical personnel, and coaches who understand the essentials processes and have substantial knowledge and strategies to assist in creating a phenomenal athletic experience.
